UP Celebrates 70 Years of Existence
Uttar Pradesh turned 70 on Friday. The UP Government will celebrate UP Foundation Day in a three-day ceremony starting January 24 at Avadh Shilpgram, Lucknow. The event was inaugurated by UP Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The three-day ceremony held at Avadh Shilp Gram will be inaugurated at 11 am by Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Uttar Pradesh CM extended his greetings to the people of the state on twitter.
“The Government of Uttar Pradesh is continuously engaged in public service with the goal of ‘Antyodaya’. The state has always led the nation-building movements and will continue to do so. May Lord Shri Rama guide us. Happy Uttar Pradesh Day to all,” UP CM tweeted on Friday.
Uttar Pradesh was born on January 24, 1950, after then Governor-General of India passed the United Provinces Order 1950 renaming then United Provinces as Uttar Pradesh (UP). Foundation stone of Atal Residential Schools in 18 divisions of state will also take place at the inauguration ceremony. These schools will provide free education to children of laborers along with poverty-stricken children.
The three-day program will include several exhibitions on the history of the state, various competitions, and cultural programs. The event will also feature a special exhibition on Lord Ram.
