Sensex Slumps By 721.07 Points, Currently At 30,376

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 20 lakh crore package as a booster dose to the economy last week. After this, for five consecutive days, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a press conference and removed it completely. After this, the stock market opened today and the markets are visible in red marks. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex lost nearly 721.07 and it is currently at 30,376.

Before Friday last week, Nirmala Sitharaman had made big announcements for many sections including MSME, real estate, taxpayers, farmers, migrant laborers in two days. But on Friday it seemed that all these announcements did not excite the stock market. This is the reason why the Indian stock market remained sluggish for the second consecutive day.
