Sensex ends 127 points lower, Nifty Settles below 12,000

Sensex lost 127 points to close at 40,675, and the Nifty declined by 54 points to settle at 11,994 at the end of Tuesday’s trading session. The market plunged after enhanced selling pressure in banking and metal stocks. Giants such as HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, and Hindustan Unilever were largely affected by selling pressure.

Yes Bank, Tata Steel, Adani Ports, Bharti Infratel, Zee Entertainment, JSW Steel, and Grasim Industries were the top losers on the NSE index today. On the other hand, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, HDFC, TCS, and Hero MotoCorp were among the top gainers in Tuesday’s trading session.

Indian Stock Market has been on a downward spiral after the Government of India, released economic data last week.
