One Terrorist Killed in an Encounter in J&K’s Awantipora

One terrorist was killed by armed forces in Awantipora, Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday. The encounter is in progress, and further details are awaited related to the encounter.

Two terrorists were killed during an encounter in the same region on Tuesday. One army soldier and SPO of J&K police also succumbed to injuries sustained during the encounter. The operation was carried out jointly by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army, and the Jammu & Kashmir Police. The terrorists are yet to be identified.

On Monday, three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, including a police deserter were killed in an encounter with armed forces in Shopian district of Jammu & Kashmir. Shortly after the encounter, CRPF bunkers in Pulwama were attacked with petrol bombs, no loss of life or injury was reported in this attack.
