Devendra Fadnavis Denies Anant Kumar Hegde’s Claims
Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis denied claims by BJP leader Ananth K Hegde that Fadnavis moved Rs. 40,000 crore back to Centre from Maharashtra after being sworn in as CM on November 23, 2019.
Fadnavis said he has not taken any such major policy decision, the only decision he took was to release aid for farmers affected by untimely rain and flood.
“No such major policy decision has been taken by me as CM. All such allegations are false,” former Maharashtra CM said.
BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Uttara Kannada, Karnataka speaking in a public event on Sunday made these claims.
“You all know our man in Maharashtra became CM for 80 hours. Then, Fadnavis resigned. Why did he do this drama? Didn’t we know that we don’t have the majority and yet he became CM? This is the question everyone is asking,” Hegde said.
“A CM has access to around Rs 40,000 Cr from Centre. He knew if Congress-NCP-Shiv Sena government comes to power it would misuse funds meant for development. So it was decided that there should be a drama. Fadnavis became CM & in 15 hrs he moved Rs.40, 000 Cr back to Centre,” the BJP leader further added
After these remarks, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut called it a “treachery with Maharashtra”.0 Replies to “Devendra Fadnavis Denies Anant Kumar Hegde’s Claims”
