CJI Ranjan Gogoi to Meet UP Top Officials to Review Law & Order in the State Ahead of Ayodhya Verdict
Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi will meet Uttar Pradesh chief secretary and the DGP to review the law and order situation in the state ahead of the Supreme Court verdict in Ayodhya land dispute case (Ram Temple issue).
On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also held a meeting with UP DGP, State Chief Secretary, State Home Secretary, and other senior officials over the law and order situation in the state. He also addressed all district officials, via video conferencing ahead of Ayodhya verdict.
UP Police has been using drones to carry out surveillance in Ayodhya. The state government has deployed two helicopters to handle the security arrangements. Around 20 temporary jails have been set up across Uttar Pradesh and Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) has been stationed in 78 sensitive regions in UP.
The Apex court is expected to deliver its verdict on the Ayodhya issue before retirement of CJI Gogoi on November 17.
