Navjot Sidhu Granted Permission to Visit Pakistan

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has been granted permission to visit Pakistan, to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor on November 9. He is a guest of the Pakistani government and first Indian dignitary invited by Pakistan to attend the event.

Earlier today, Sidhu wrote to External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar for the third time, requesting permission to attend the inauguration event of the Kartarpur Corridor in Pakistan. “Despite repeated reminders, you haven’t responded to whether or not the govt has granted me permission to go to Pak for the inauguration,” the letter stated.

The former Punjab Minister also threatened to visit Kartarpur without permission like ordinary pilgrims on November 9.
